Aftermath
Words were never worth enough
so I could count on them
But I can do the math.
It’s starts with two halves–
the haves and the have nots
The odds are not quite so even.
You conquer and divide and leave no remainder to measure what is left There’s so many things for us to factor in It’s clear I’m just a fraction of you But what about the aftermath? I’m not sure I’m up for the task. Better pick up all the pieces fast cause God knows what what’s after the aftermath. Words they blind and blush and multiply themselves. There’s no formula for that. Differences aside, I’m much lesser than you thought and no greater than the sum of these parts. [Chorus] Words will never do what I want them to do Nothing can describe this aftermath.
